FAQ

How do I book a session?

Begin by sending a message either through the online CONTACT form or email: charis.photo.design@gmail.com

How many images will I receive?

Varies based on package. See PRICING.

Where are you based?

State College, Centre County, Penn State University

Do you travel?

Yes. Additional travel related fees apply to anything outside of the local State College area.

What is your turnaround time?

Aim to deliver digital product within 7-10 business days. Physical product (i.e. photo cards, prints, etc.) require additional time.

Why does professional photography cost so much... I mean, all you need is a little time and a decent camera right?

Having a professional camera is certainly part of the equation however there are additional costs for equipment maintenance/acquisition as well as monthly overhead expenses (website, gallery platform, editing software, etc). The session itself is a fraction of the overall time spent on your pictures. Most of the work actually happens in post processing; additional hours spent making color corrections and adding extra touches to each image to make your memories come to life.

What sort of extra touches are made to the photos?

Basic editing involves adjusting exposure, temperature, color correction, skin tone, etc. Each gallery will also include a number of images with additional edits such as iris enhancement, skin smoothing, blemish removal, etc.
